Got on my nerves and I usually like such shows.
A Real Mind Bender
This series is so well done! I don't buy all the conclusions that are presented here, but this series will definitely open your mind to some amazing possibilities about our ancient past.
A superb first year, followed by too much corn in the 2nd season
My husband and I saw the first season of Ancient Aliens when it first came out, and it was much, MUCH better - focused primarily on physical artifacts of ancient pasts that cause one to wonder how that was accomplished, without the benefit of lasers and other advanced tools and technologies? I recalled not liking the 2nd season - seeing this again reminded me of why. Instead of just pointing out the things that do not seem consistent with the little we know so far about those ancient civilizations, in the 2nd year, seemingly excited by the favorable reception to the first season, there is just way too much pontification and theorization by the same authors, over and over, who become much more assertive in arguing "proof" that these civilizations were visited by aliens - or perhaps may have been aliens themselves.
While we agree that the archaeological record seems to have produced evidence that at least some prior civilizations on earth are likely to have had...
